The PTA Board of Directors are a volunteer board that serves the needs of the PTA and greater Somerset ES community. Board members typically serve two year terms and join roles that align with their passion areas.

  • Absolutely. All parents of children enrolled at Somerset Elementary School are eligible to apply for roles on the Board of Directors

  • Board members serve a two year term. If board members are interested in extending their terms, the Board will review open roles, interest expressed, and case-by-case reviews.

  • No. Board members come from diverse backgrounds with unique time commitment considerations. While it is encouraged that Board members participate in events and meetings, they are not required.

  • Absolutely. We encourage prospective members to meet the Board members currently serving. Spending time shadowing can create confidence while learning new processes and protocols.
